Duties and Responsibilities – “Your Role”
As a member of File Operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining, improving and expanding our Data Delivery platform.
You will work cross-functionally across Data Delivery & Product agile teams to facilitate a market leading customer experience through our onboarding process
Core responsibilities:
- Participate in migrating client configurations from legacy systems to the Data Delivery platform
- Participate in Agile process for daily prioritization and planning
- Provide knowledgeable, prompt and courteous support to File users via email and/or phone
- Create bespoke File configurations and maintain documentation for specific File requests as well as generic Product files
- Signal, raise and discuss application issues with the Files Development team
Job Requirements – “About You”
IHS Markit is seeking a Technical Business Analyst who participates in providing extensive configuration services and supporting File customers from the Amsterdam Office, working closely together with the Noida Office where other team members are located. This hands-on role will require translation of either customer requirements or legacy configurations to timely and accurate output in terms of files for a large and increasing number of customers.
The candidate will be responsible creating and supporting a wide range of file configurations in terms of financial data, size, business ruling and timings. The candidate should be comfortable working in multisystem environments and able to configure and test file onboardings through the logical development stages. The candidate will need to be capable of working with different business groups across multiple locations and possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban as well as team leadership is a definite pro.
The required candidate must be enthusiastic, proactive and demonstrate a good understanding of development methodologies. The role also requires experience with and knowledge of data models as well as configuring a tool with predefined variables.
The position requires affinity with technology and an ideal candidate has working knowledge of Java, C/C++, C#, HTML/Javascript, JSON, Perl or Python and SQL.
Key Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years equivalent experience, preferably with an Economic, Finance, FinTech, Financial Services, Technology or Data background
- Expertise with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Expertise with XML, Python, SQL, VBA
- Knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban
- Expertise in analyzing and understanding clients’ needs and requirements and translating that into solutions. Client interfacing experience is a plus
- Highly motivated, disciplined, and works well in a team
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and able to use own initiative to solve problems
- Strong time management and organized with a continuous Improvement mindset
- Clear, structured, and professional in both writing and speech; experience presenting is a plus
- Fluency in English language required
