Your Job
As a Data Scientist at Indeed your role is to follow the data. Analyze and visualize them. You will also build and implement machine learning models to make timely decisions. You will have to effectively work independently and as part of a team, and be able to execute loosely-defined work items, including defining precise requirements. Responsibilities:
- Support product development and initiatives, including understanding business needs, identifying product requirements and use-cases, documenting data requirements, etc.
- Conceptualize, analyze, build, test models that utilize various and diverse data sets to solve problems related to the employment and recruiting industries
- Build machine learning models and iterate to improve over existing models through experimentation and adoption of machine learning ops best practices
- Work closely with the engineering team to deploy, validate and monitor the machine learning models
- Proactively research data and identify opportunities in the data to drive the product roadmap
- Understand human behavior and know what to look for in the data
- Communicate concisely and persuasively with engineers and product marketers.
- Help identify ways to improve data quality and analysis.
- Utilizes a solid understanding of Indeed’s business
Who You Are
Who you are
- 3+ years experience in Data Science/Analytics
- Bachelors or higher degree, with advanced coursework in statistics, machine learning, programming, or related skills
- Expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and statistical modeling
- Passion to answer Product/Engineering questions with data
- Strong ability to code in Python
- Experience in building and deploying models in production at scale
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
