Responsibilities
- Enrich and develop great machine learning teams who are focused on delivering high-quality results with speed and accuracy
- Hire top machine learning engineers and data scientists
- Foster a culture of curiosity, inclusion, and customer focus in the organization
- Lead the group to develop, align, and deliver on measurable goals
- Identify promising opportunities in research and industry to delivery better or faster
- Evolve the product to maximize customer value
Who You Are:
- You know the right questions to ask to shape product direction and understand the best techniques (causal testing, deep learning, statistical modeling) to help your team arrive at answers that make a difference to employers & jobseekers
- You’re experienced in team design, growing managers, & supporting team members at all skill levels
- You have industry expertise in machine learning at scale
- You have strong alignment with the business & a bias to action
- You’re able to make the wise decisions in limited information situations
- You tell clear, compelling stories from complex models & statistics
Requirements:
- 8+ years of industry experience, with expertise in statistical modeling and/or machine learning
- 5+ years of direct management experience including performance evaluations, compensation management, product and team coaching.
- 2+ years of experience leading 2+ teams with coaching experience of both individual contributors as well as managers.
- Strong ability to coach Data Scientists and Machine Learning engineers
- Significant prior success as a Data, Product, or Decision Scientist working on challenging problems at scale
- Master’s or PhD., with advanced coursework in statistics, machine learning, programming, or related skills
- Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionization, and monitoring

Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin 179,000 – 259,000 USD per year
