Indeed is seeking a sales strategist who is comfortable with telling a story using data. The person should be able to work with different data analysis tools to extract large data sets and analyze them to identify key trends and insights. They should be able to then translate that into a storyline and presentation that can be shared with senior executives at Indeed.
We are also seeking a sales strategist who enjoys program managing strategic initiatives that are critical for the business. They should be able to coordinate with different cross functional teams, generate consensus out of diverse opinions through a thoughtful approach, hold people accountable to timelines and deliver on key milestones.
Responsibilities:
As a Strategy and Planning Strategy analyst, you will have an opportunity to
- Lead the annual Headcount planning process for the Global Sales and Customer Success (CS) organization at Indeed
- Build out a data driven recommendation model that will identify how to allocate headcount across segments and regions
- Own Headcount reporting, allocation and prioritization throughout the year
- Provide analyses on Headcount, selling capacity and related metrics
- Partner with cross functional partners like Finance, Recruiting, Sales, CS and Strategy teams to deliver on key milestones
- Gather feedback on the process to help identify process improvements
- Support the Strategy and Planning Sr Manager with data analysis, reporting and tracking
Who You Are
Requirements:
- 1-3+ years of experience in consulting, finance or other professional services OR strategy & operations experience at a technology company
- Bachelor’s degree with quantitative coursework (e.g., Economics, Business, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent practical experience
- Fluency with SQL, Excel and Tableau (or other data visualization platform); able to create and edit queries, pull data and structure it in a meaningful way for analysis. Knowledge of Python a plus (or willingness to learn)
- Strong problem solving and analysis skills, ability to solve complex and diverse business problems (commercial, operational, organizational)
- Very detail oriented, with strong business acumen
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to effectively manage multiple workstreams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with history of influencing decisions
- Curious and willing to develop a deep understanding of the business and take initiative to suggest ways to improve Indeed’s go-to-market strategy and operations

This role sits within the Central Strategy and Planning team which is a part of the Global Sales Strategy function at Indeed. We are responsible for driving strategic initiatives for Indeed’s global sales organization and coordinating with regional Sales strategy teams on various planning activities. We lead high impact projects that look to solve some of the biggest strategic problems faced by the business.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

US Remote 73,000 – 107,000 USD per year
