Index Analytics is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support Government clients in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Metro Area. The individual in this role would develop and lead the implementation of agile practices that support project activities.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Project Lead to plan and organize project activities, including setting up a sprint schedule
- Lead agile processes like stand-up, sprint review, retrospective, backlog refinement, iteration, or release planning
- Collect requirements from the CMS product owners and work with the Index team to prioritize activities given the complexity and staff available
- Collaborate with Index team members to identify assignments and user stories by various team members
- Collaborate with Index staff and CMS product owners to maintain and organize the product backlog using agile practices
- Maintain records of product updates, planned schedules, and discussions from meetings
- Develop an efficient communication process to collect feedback and expectations from CMS product owners, and update the Index team
- Ensure proper communication on activities within the Index team, and with CMS product owners so that there are no loopholes
- Work with Index staff to identify innovative solutions to improve customer satisfaction
- Lead modelling of business processes and translating requirements into design
- Support testing/validation activities
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., MicroStrategy) is a plus.
Qualifications
- US citizen, or lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years with an ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of overall work experience including at least 4 years of experience managing requirements and backlog.
- Prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other Govt agencies is a plus
- Agile certifications preferred
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex requirements into actionable work items
- Knowledge and experience of Agile software development methodology
- Demonstrated ability to work with engineering and analytics teams to discuss technical concepts, make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication required
