About the internship

As a Computer Vision Intern, you will work on cutting-edge OCR use cases, leveraging your skills in computer vision and machine learning to develop and enhance OCR systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment, working alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the R&D team to design, implement, and optimize OCR algorithms.
2. Develop and fine-tune machine learning models for text detection and recognition.
3. Conduct experiments to evaluate the performance of OCR systems and suggest improvements.
4. Preprocess and annotate datasets to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of OCR models.
5. Assist in the integration of OCR solutions into existing platforms and applications.
6. Stay updated with the latest advancements in computer vision, machine learning, and OCR technologies.
7. Document research findings, methodologies, and results for internal use and future reference.

Requirements:
1. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in computer vision and machine learning concepts and techniques.
3. Experience with programming languages such as Python or C++.
4. Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
5. Knowledge of OCR technologies and libraries (e.g., Tesseract, OpenCV).
6. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience with OCR projects or related research.
2. Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
3. Experience with data augmentation and image preprocessing techniques.
