JOB DESCRIPTION
Will be responsible for building data pipelines, preparing/analyzing data, and provide insight to the different LOBs this team supports so they know how to make better business decisions, maximize revenue opportunities, etc.Will support the azure data factory environment. Support defects in production, optimization, etc. This is a ‘fix it’ type of role Migrate/moving of data from data lake à data warehouse. This team needs someone who has fresh ideas and will be encouraged to make recommendations to improve the environment and provide insight to stakeholders(this is internal knowledge/what we can explain to candidates). This team specifically supports multiple teams in the organization and tons of data is coming from the following LOBs: General practicePet resortsSpecialty/EREcquine (i.e. horses)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
***THIS ROLE MUST SIT ON SITE IN PLANO, TX M-F***
At least 6-8 years of overall Data engineering or Software development experience
Expert level knowledge on Azure Data Factory (minimum 2-3 years with the technology)
Knowledge of Azure data lake is required and Azure Services like Analysis Service, SQL Databases,
Azure DevOps, CI/CD is a must.
Advance knowledge of Azure SQL DB & Synapse Analytics, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL, Logic Apps
Knowledge of Big data technologies – Spark Framework, NoSQL, Azure Data Bricks and Hadoop Ecosystem
Should have clear understanding of Data Warehouse lifecycle and contribute in preparing Design documents, Unit Test plans, Code review reports.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (both oral/written) with the ability to communicate at various levels with clarity & precision.
Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
DESIRED SKILLS
Experience working in Agile environment (Scrum, Lean, Kanban) is a plus
Experience with any of these big data technologies: Hive, Impala, HDFS, YARN, Pig, Oozie
