JOB DESCRIPTION
An Am Law 50 firm is seeking a Mid-Level SQL BI Developer to join the Data Management team, within the Enterprise Data Solutions group, who will develop and implement enhancements to provide production support for the firm’s enterprise data warehouse, reporting, data integration, and business intelligence solutions (Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence stack). The SQL BI Developer will work closely with other Data Management team members in the ongoing evolution of our business intelligence and data management capabilities. This individual will participate in the development and adoption of enterprise data architecture strategy, principles, and standards as a member of our Data Architecture governing body
The day-to-day responsibilities of the SQL BI Developer include:
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain enhancements to the data warehouse, master and reference data management capabilities, data integration layer, and enterprise data services shared across applications and reporting.
- Partner with business stakeholders, senior management and across IS teams to understand, document, and propose business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Assist with developing accurate project and task estimates, along with support end-user training of our business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Deliver high quality data management solutions through proactive testing and on-going quality monitoring.
- Ability to assist in the creation, population, and quality control of the firm’s technical Data Dictionary and related documentation.
This position requires the SQL BI Developer to come into the office 1-3 days a week into the Boston or NYC offices.
Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 4-7 years of SQL server development experience with advanced knowledge of SQL, Complex T-SQL, and Excel
- Proficiency in MS SQL Server 2016 or later and Business Intelligence tools (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MDS)
- Experience designing databases and etl processes from scratch, along with a demonstrated understanding of relational and multi-dimensional database design/architecture
- Ability to develop front-end reporting and analytical solutions that meet business needs
- Bachelor’s Degree
DESIRED SKILLS
- Am Law 100 or professional services experience
- Experience with TFS version control and work management utilities
- Development experience with Tableau 10, MicroStrategy, and Profisee
- Strong etl and .Net skills
