JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking five QA Automation Engineers and one Lead QA to assist with new products that are being developed with tight deadlines. The three projects involve testing existing models and building out new models to get features back to their customers. The team will be working on a data management platform involving Spark and Kafka and big data platforms like H Base and Cloudera. They will be testing a lot of data to ensure that it is loaded and tested properly through functional testing, performance, regression, automation, and a piece of big data testing (not involving the admin side). The test cases need to be automated (80% automation and 20% manual).

The Lead QA would be building out frameworks, test cases, test plans, and automating test cases for the sprints. They will also be responsible for leading groomings, meetings, and ensuring functionalities are being met.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years’ of QA Automation experience with Java (80% Automation, 20% Manual)
• Strong automation within Java and REST Assured
• Strong experience with Cucumber and Selenium
• Strong understanding of data automation processes, developing automation scripts, integration testing and performance testing
• Experience automating big-data pipelines and platforms
• Ability to write HBase queries, Hadoop or Elastic Search
• Understanding of Kafka, Spark, SQL scripting and event streaming
• Spark Framework (strongly preferred)
• Agile/Lean methodologies experience

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience querying Kafka and other streaming sets
• Experience/Knowledge in Cloudera, HBase, Hadoop and Elastic Search
• Experience implementing test automation frameworks for mobile platforms (hybrid, iOS or Android)
• Experience with Device Cloud Providers: Perfecto Mobile, Device Anywhere, Amazon Device Farm.
• Experience in building and executing automated and performance tests for REST and XML/SOAP/JSON based services.
• HTTP, HTML, XML, JSON, SQL, Java Script, Node.js
• GIT, Eclipse/Android Studio/X-Code
• Security testing experience
• Knowledge of Performance/Load Testing
