Business Analyst
Pay Rate: $30.43 – $43.58/hr
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Mon – Fri
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: 1 Year
This job requires working on-site and client is mandating all on-site workers be vaccinated unless a medical/religious exemption is granted by the client.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical support during digital analytics platform transition period, fielding existing and new analytics and reporting needs and retrofitting existing dashboards to absorb new data sources.
- Proactively build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external business partners, working closely with those partners as necessary to achieve desired results (Marketing, Legal, BCA, other Blues Plans, CMS, Providers, Group Administrators, Brokers, etc.)
- Fluent knowledge of database reporting including the tools necessary to extract meaningful information in trend analysis.
- Provides operational technical assistance to both internal and external business partners.
- Perform user journey analysis through research and analyzing data to determine trends, develop insights, and customer valued solutions that satisfy various business needs. This includes: design, track and provide regular reporting solution to management for various initiatives.
- Oversees and monitors Tableau dashboards that report digital analytics data related to various initiatives.
- Design, implement, communicate, and administer value-added policies and procedures that contribute to the success of the division and support the objectives of the enterprise.
- Responsible for facilitating workgroup meetings including agendas and meeting minutes.
- Accountable for the monitoring, tracking and trending of data to evaluate the accuracy delivered to the customer as well as management.
- Ability to travel.
Qualifications:
Education
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent work experience is defined as 5 years in health care or related industry.
Experience
- 3 years work related technical, analytical, or operational experience required.
- 5 years of health insurance industry preferred.
Skills/Certifications
- Database reporting skills utilizing Tableau, Excel and data warehouse.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Google Analytics and BigQuery preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Possess strong analytical, technical, and decision making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project and priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability.
Preferred experience when Recruiting:
Looking for someone with Tableau development experience and/or digital analytics experience. We are going to be transitioning our analytics software platforms to Google Analytics. This person will be helping us maintain our existing workload on data analysis and reporting while our team’s adds focus on that transition and standing up the new platform. We also have added reporting needs for new BlueCross products and keeping pace with other initiatives coming in 2023
