Data/Analytics Software Development Engineer
Job Description
Designs, develops, validates, and debugs software to enable Intel hardware features and to optimize for cloud, hybridcloud, and/or onprem deployment models. Understands partner software stacks and optimizes full stack software (spanning firmware, drivers, OS, middleware, SDKs, frameworks, algorithms, and applications) as required to enable cloud software. May include the development of reference cloud platform software and improving or enabling customer designs to obtain the greatest value from Intel products within the cloud. May specialize in specific technology domains including data services (ingestion, database, analytics), AI/ML, and opensource development projects.
Qualifications
Requires a minimum of 2-5 yrs of strong experience with projects involving end to end software solution development (preferably leveraging FPGA) from product conception, software architecture definition, design, integration, verification, timing closure, bring-up, debug and system level validation including integration of software and firmware Technical expertise with specification, design, implementation of complex software systems including programming with C/C++. Experience with Linux kernel (drivers, network, memory), distributed software and systems and open source key-value datastores (such as Cassandra, RocksDB) Requires technical architectural and integration expertise with protocols such as PCI-Express, Ethernet and DDR Memory, especially related to networking, storage and virtualization technology. Background in FPGA implementation of complex data analytics and networking functions preferred. Bachelor of Science or equivalent advanced technical degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.
