About the Role
The VP of Yield Analytics and Data Science will lead/coordinate data and analytics functions across the Technology Development and Manufacturing Supply Operations groups. This leader is also responsible for TD centers of excellence for data engineering, data science required to enable machine learning and advanced analytics capabilities to improve process yield. The selected leader will drive strategic decision making at the top level of the group, influencing roadmaps of technology ingredients, platforms and initiatives by bringing to bear the experience in data, analysis, business acumen, networking, breadth and depth of expertise in factory and product yield improvement. Responsibilities will include End to End Architecture, end-to-end Tools for Analytics, end-to-end Big Data, Big Data Governance, Meta Data Design and unified GUI strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Create a vision and execute to enable and maximize the value extraction of integrated data across manufacturing. Key salient vectors of value during technology development and/or high-volume manufacturing include improvements in yield, early prediction of ultimately discrepant material, timely feedback/feedforward for better yields, process recipe / output / cycle times. Realize improvements within and across technology generations.
- Establish data objectives and strategies necessary to integrate manufacturing and product design data and execute to enable faster and better product and process development and ramp as measured by speed, performance, yield, quality, and cost. Maximize opportunities within and across product and process generations.
- Establish an environment that promotes innovation and idea generation; align functional teams with TD and MSO’s strategic priorities and ensure coordination and resourcing.
- Lead through ambiguity and brings clarity through defined strategies and executable plans.
- Lead centers of excellence for TD analytics and furnish skilled teams aligned in the business areas and functional organizations that will build organizational data capability and capacity, grow distributed data talent, and deliver relevant and timely support for business decision making.
- Take requirements from technology development groups and HVM to ensure the appropriate implementation, adoption and modernization of infrastructure, reference models and enterprise-level solutions.
- Focus on strong customer engagement by using data to shape customer interactions. Support the business areas in developing new business opportunities for analytics and artificial intelligence

Experience Required:
- Experience in manufacturing yield systems, product design and process development, and how data interacts with the factory infrastructure and product development foundation.
- Extensive experience of multiple deep and prolonged partnerships with product and process development teams and with yield improvement teams. Demonstrate consistent track record of tangible joint wins on multiple value vectors.
- Experience translating business strategy into value creation through data, analytics and artificial intelligence.
- Experience translating technology roadmaps and strategy to operational improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a technical organization to execute and operationalize strategies.
- Ability to influence and shape outcomes with senior executive level stakeholders.
- Ability to build cross-enterprise teams and leading large teams of technology professionals.
- Demonstrated understanding of the relevant technology and industry trends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience setting data governance standards and policies.
- Excellent business & financial judgment; strong analytical skills; excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Qualifications
- MS or PHD in computer Science or Engineering
- 20 years of practical experience in yield management with leadership of technical teams working with analytics/machine learning techniques and large Data environment.
