The Client Computing Group (CCG) has an opportunity in Windows Systems Software organization to design and develop system software to enable new capabilities to enhance the power and performance in Intel Platforms. The goal of our team is to develop world-class software solutions and technologies to help assure platform leadership in the mobile market space. This position focuses on the design, development, and optimization of power and performance management software drivers and algorithms for our next generation platforms using an OS agnostic framework that supports Windows, Linux and Chrome. You will be working closely with HW development teams, platform architects to understand the requirements and engage in path finding activities, create prototypes as necessary, and productize technologies that get to end users as part of future mobile platforms. You will also have to work closely with our OSV and OEM partners to understand their requirements and issues and engineer solutions.
Qualifications
You must possess a Master of Science with minimum 4 years experience or Bachelor of Science degree with minimum 8 years experience in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Minimum Skills: Excellent programming skills in C and/or C++/ Python. Experience in writing production level software Knowledge of data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, and multithreaded programming Experience developing system software that runs on Windows Experience developing software using python scripts Strong analytical and problem solving skills and have the ability to work independently and in teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills and platform debug skills Preferred Skills: Knowledge of Intel mobile platform architecture, CPU/PCH architecture. Experience in power/thermal management area. Experience with Thermal characterization/tuning on form-factor systems Development experience in Windows Device Drivers, application programming. Experience in software engineering practices such as design, documentation, prototyping, unit testing, etc Research or Industry experience in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning (ML) models, ML infrastructure, Natural Language Processing or Deep Learning.
