The Opportunity:
We work at the forefront of understanding customer behaviours using cutting edge Machine Learning. We explore and exploit trillions of rows of data to provide the best possible insights about how millions of customers behave, how they think and who they are, and we do it all with security, privacy and data ethics at our core.
Are you a junior data and/or software engineer? Are you looking for a new challenge and to take a step up in your career into the field of Artificial Intelligence?
We are looking for a new member of our Machine Learning Engineering team to join us in building cutting edge AI systems that deliver value to clients while upholding the highest privacy standards for customer insights.
You’ll work collaboratively with an expert group of ML Engineers, Data Scientists and various product teams to build the next generation ML Architecture on the IHQ cloud, ensuring that models execute reliably and integrate seamlessly into the overall product.
You’ll innovate with emerging data technologies and industry trends, creating solutions to best support our machine learning workflows. You’ll work collaboratively with our data scientists to ensure that our platform supports their machine learning models, collaborate on QA and help create design patterns to serve cutting-edge training and prediction pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior ML engineers to support design and architecture activities
- Develop and maintain machine learning pipelines
- Understand how current pipelines are implemented and suggest improvements
- Assure quality of machine learning pipelines by developing robust regression test suite and report on important QA metrics
- Understand various data science solutions proposed and come up with functional and non-functional requirements that need to be ensure as part of the solution delivery
- Excellent communication skills including presenting your work to the ML Engineering team and producing best practice documentation
What we’re looking for:
Essential
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great communication and collaboration skills
- Python programming skills at an intermediate level
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets using SQL
- Fast learner with an ability to pick up new skills and technologies
- High attention to detail
Desirable
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks
- Ability to program in Scala
- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks & orchestration and storage (Spark, Airflow)
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field; Master’s degree is a plus
