To help us achieve our goal, we are seeking a Diversity & Inclusion Data Analyst who will be reporting to the Diversity & Compliance Director, the person in this role will support the Diversity and Inclusion department’s objective to support the Interpublic Group and its agencies with diversity metrics and data to support workplace inclusion strategy development.
The position is responsible for leading efforts to research and evaluate progress toward the organization’s diversity and inclusion initiatives through the effective use and analysis of quantitative and qualitative metrics. Support efforts to determine best methods to collect, visualize and report diversity data and metrics to support the development, advancement, and integration of diversity strategies across department, center, and institute stakeholders.
This person will focus on successful completion of compliance and audit activities such as compiling and analyzing data for reports, workforce diversity demographic, evaluate outcomes and progress, coordinate data collection and research analysis of metrics as well as conduct analysis to identify key gap areas potentially affecting ability to remain competitive in attracting and retaining a talented and diverse workforce.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop, implement, and monitor metrics that measure diversity efforts and outcomes within the IPG and its agencies
- Monitor progress and performs trend analysis of agreed upon comprehensive metrics (quantitative and qualitative) broken down by IPG agencies and prepares appropriate reports
- Provide data analysis and research in support of EEO governance and compliance related items, including policies and procedures, federal/state/local acts
- Gather data and analyzes affirmative action plans, EEO-1, Vets 4212 and California Pay reports and others, reviews data
- Set up users and provides technical consultation and training to them on how to access and edit data in IPG’s Diversity and AAP cloud-based databases
- Maintain and update databases, contact information and listservs to assist in efficient and accurate communication to a wide variety of diversity and compliance stakeholders/identity groups as determined DEI leadership
- Establish processes to collect, visualize and report benchmark data
- Create and coordinates efforts with other key stakeholders across IPG agencies and HR Operations team and outside consultants
- Solicit, compile, analyze, and summarize demographic and comparative information from a variety of data resources both within IPG and nationally
- Create reports for the DEI Leadership and senior executives on requested demographic data
- Perform complex statistical analyses and data extracts in accordance with the needs of the DEI leadership and Senior executives
- Track the compositional diversity of the IPG and its agencies including ranking, hiring, promotions, attrition, other parameters, as required
- Provide oversight and management of all components of Diversity & Inclusion Survey data and other relevant climate related assessments
- Prepare reports and design strategies to effectively communicate findings both to specific stakeholders as well as companywide
- Participate in and conducts internal audits of various DEI processes and practices to support the Controllers group
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional or higher education experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in related HR and/or diversity/inclusion space
- Minimum 3 years of data analytics experience
- Advanced degree with additional years of related analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
- EEO compliance reporting, a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
- Proven ability to communicate and work effectively across all levels of the organization
- Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills including vlookups, pivot tables, data conversion and presentation
- Must be able to work effectively at all levels – strategic, operational, and tactical
- Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Ability to manage information with at a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to cross collaborate with a variety of business teams and interface with senior executives
- BRG/Affinity Leadership experience, preferred
SALARY RANGE:
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $95,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
