Sr. Consultant Payer Analytics will be responsible for making objective customer-focused and data-driven decisions by providing analytical insight, actionable data, and recommendations. You would also be responsible for projects, providing analytics support, and serving in a consultative capacity to deliver value-added descriptive analytics solutions for large scale pharma projects
Position Purpose:
- Responsible for proposing, implementing and developing solutions using Real World Data to cater US commercial needs
- Work with the client facing teams to develop the proposal by evaluating client asks, data feasibility and high-level methodology of implementation
- Work independently and/or manage a small team
- Work efficiently with data, analytical and presentation tools such as SQL, SAS, R, Python
- Analyze and present the analysis findings in a client-ready format
- Mentor junior team members and help their project/deliverables
- Understand and refine or develop methodologies using patient level data analytics to cater pharmaceutical commercial solutions
What your day would look like
- Brainstorming with onshore team and end clients to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions for complex client specifications
- Designing methodology and solutions for key business asks

Understand pharmaceutical ecosystem and data sets including:
- Claims (ex. Symphony, DRG, IQVIA Claims)
- Formulary (ex. MMIT, DRG FF),
- Prescription (ex. IQVIA NPA),
- Outlet (ex. IQVIA DDD),
- EMR/Clinical/Laboratory test data

Working on advanced analytics in the pharma domain throughout the Claim life cycle and patient journey
- Understand Payer Landscape
- Channel & Plan level analysis
- Patient Out of Pocket Costs analysis
- Payer/Plan level formulary status and restrictions
- Source of Business etc.
- Use of excel, PowerPoint, SQL, R or Python and visualization tools to represent actionable insights
- Integration of technical knowledge with business goals and strategy to achieve insights for end clients
- Act as an advocate for client needs, putting yourself in their shoes to ideate on ways to enhance business value for the client
Skills, Role, and Responsibilities:
- Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and problem-solving ability with demonstrated hands-on work experience in data analytics
- Great understanding of US healthcare system, data assets (Claims) and commercial operations of a pharmaceutical company
- Support development and analytics activities using SQL & SAS technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish project/team goals
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques desirable
- Hands-on knowledge on IQVIA (IMS) datasets such LRx & DX Claims, Xponent, DDD, Hospital data, etc.
- Adaptability and an ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge
- Timely delivery of all the projects/activities with utmost quality output
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse projects simultaneously
- Proper documentation of all the project related activities
- Managing processes independently and/or manage small team
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Pharma / B. Tech / MBA / MCA
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in Healthcare Analytics (overall up to 12 years)
Tools, Technology & Data:
- Strong working experience on SQL
- Hand on knowledge on Base SAS
- Must have advanced MS Office skills
- Must have pharmaceutical data knowledge which are widely used in industry
Good to have:
- Familiar with pharmaceutical domain, concepts, and terminologies, understanding of broader healthcare market dynamics (broad themes/latest trends in the pharma industry etc.)
- Having SAS, Python knowledge is added advantage
- Must be flexible, independent, and self-motivated

- Good interpersonal skills (should have good listening skills, patience and handle situations in a calm and composed way)
