ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY…
Iron Mountain Data Centers is looking to hire a Data Analyst to join our global Data Enablement team. You will take shared responsibility for the enablement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support of our data platform. To succeed in this role you will need an eye for detail, ability to think clearly, calmly, and methodically while driving break fix opportunities to incident resolution; the ability to methodically diagnose and perform root-cause-analysis on data, systems, and reports; ability to support critical data warehouse processes, jobs, pipeline, and tools; have a basic understanding of data management framework; and be willing to learn how to consistently deliver data to end users via the data platform toolset.
YOU’LL GET TO…
- Own, execute, and coordinate end-to-end delivery of customer-facing reporting
- Provide break-fix and monitoring support for the enterprise data warehouse
- Create T-SQL queries that fulfill ad hoc data delivery service requests
- Administer Tableau Online and Microsoft SSRS deployments, releases, security, and user training
- Support end-to-end ETL processes via Microsoft SSIS pipelines from collection to visualization
- Assess and remediate issues with data loads, reports/views, systems and delivery tools
- Verify and implement controls that ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of data loads
- Gather data and produce platform metrics and telemetry on a consistent basis
- Test and validate data solutions, systems, pipelines, and presentation layer offerings
- Own and update production data catalog documentation, metadata, procedures, and artifacts
- Assist the production DBAs as needed; administer windows virtual servers and jump boxes
- Support data integrations across platforms, interfaces, tools, and multiple network domains
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE…
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT/IS, Engineering, or a related discipline is required
- 1-2 years of Microsoft T-SQL scripting experience; must be able to create advanced queries
- 1-2 years of systemsoperations experience directly supporting data warehouse initiatives
- 1-2 years of support or server administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above
- 1-2 years of experience supporting or administering production Microsoft SSRS report portal
- Experience supporting or administering a production Tableau Online environment
- Expert troubleshooting ETL processes, SSIS packages, T-SQL queries, and complex SQL joins
- Ability to multitask, pivot, refocus, and thrive in an interrupt-driven production support environment
- Strong communicator, a positive attitude, and a passion for customer-facing delivery
- Knowledge of ITIL v3 framework and service management processes
- Make decisions confidently, independently, and assume level-1 responsibility in critical situations
- Self manage and organize to multiple tasks with rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
- Willingness to work M-F 1-10PM IST; participation in a 24×7 on-call support rotation is required
