The leader in real-time TV ad measurement is currently seeking a skilled Sr. DevOps Engineer who will bring a high degree of experience, creativity, and passion to the iSpot Technical Operations team. We are seeking a talented individual who will share our obsession with analytics. Someone with an insatiable appetite for learning new things and accomplishing challenging goals in a fast-paced environment.
In this position on the Technical Operations team the ideal candidate will work to improve our infrastructure along with our continuous deployment stack. The qualified candidate will programmatically manage infrastructures in both our public and private clouds. In addition, work with the Engineering teams to create and set standards for builds and configuration management, monitoring and security along with building and maintaining stage, dev and production environments.
What you will be up to
- Collaborate on defining standards for build processes and configuration management

Build test, stage and production environments for engineering teams
Monitoring systems and applications - Accurately document operational processes
- Manage virtualized environments
- Collaborate with Engineering and QA teams to meet SLAs
- Play a part in determining future technologies to implement
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Automate as much as humanly possible!
- Contribute significantly to security efforts
Our “must-have” experience
- Expert level knowledge working with AWS and it’s multitude of services
- Linux expert with both CentOS and Ubuntu
- Extensive experience with configuration management tools such as Chef
- Experience with open source virtualization stacks
- Working knowledge of Terraform
- Very proficient in high level script languages like Ruby or Python, as well as Linux script environments like bash
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Experience with a variety of monitoring tools such as Splunk or DataDog
- A deep desire to squeeze out as much performance as possible from every server/instance/container
- Experience with high availability infrastructure designs in a high SLA environment
- A deep passionate desire to automate everything!

Experience with distributed and large-scale software systems
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Bonus Points
- Previous experience with Cisco IOS or equivalent
- In depth understanding of the network layer – routers, switches, firewalls, wireless and load balancing
- Openstack
