We are looking for an analytically minded and technically savvy individual to join our growing Data Organization. Ideal candidates will have a high level of independent judgment, an incredible attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment both in a team setting and autonomously. This is an ideal position for a new college graduate who is looking for a position that is going to be challenging, demand high performance, but will give them hands-on experience working with big data, and financial analytics.
Responsibilities Include
- Extracting key information from financial documents and regulatory filings based on established methodologies, comply with established work process and performance standards to ensure timely and high-quality data
- Processing documents related to investment vehicles (ex: Mutual Funds, ETFs, Pooled Separate Accounts and Collective Trusts)
- Analyzing and processing data related to individuals and firms in the financial services industry
- Repetitive data entry
- Performing data analysis and/or data control
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in finance, economics, business, computer information systems or other business/data related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel; applicants will have the ability to demonstrate knowledge of aggregate functions, v-lookups, fuzzy match, index/match, and create tables, charts and graphs
- Computer savvy and possess the ability to learn new technology concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work environment
- Ability to adapt to performing various and changing tasks throughout the workday
- Ability to work under pressure and a rigorous set of performance metrics
- Flexible working hours; willing to work day, mid, and night shifts as necessary
Experience working with any of the following would be a plus:
- Knowledge of the retirement and financial services industry
- Proficiency in SQL/MySQL (beginner to intermediate)
- Experience with relational databases and familiarity of MySQL
