Data Analytics & Strategy Intern

Are you passionate about data, strategy, social media, and influencer marketing? We are searching for an ambitious Intern who excels in all things internet and will help support our Manager of Data Analytics & Strategy in a fast-moving environment.
You will have the opportunity to learn how data and strategy enhance influencer campaigns and get an in-depth understanding of the influencer marketing landscape.

Internship Details:
We’re looking for Undergraduate Juniors & Seniors and Graduate-level students interested in a remote internship this Spring. The best fits are those majoring in or have experience in the following areas: Marketing, Software Engineering, Data Science, or Mathematics. You will report to a Manger, Data Analytics & Strategy, who manages data analysis for various influencer marketing campaigns.
- Currently recruiting for Spring 2023 (January – April)
- All IZEA internships are for-credit-only arrangements
- Students must receive academic credit for the internship; please confirm with your school that this is available
- NDA paperwork will need to be signed by students
- Availability for at least 15-20 hours a week
- Interns need to have their computer to utilize for the internship
IZEA Provides:
- Relevant work assignments (individual and group) across IZEA departments, including Client Development, Campaign Management, Engineering, and Managed Sales,
- Personnel and time to assist interns
- An assessment of individual interns at the end of the program
As a Data Analytics & Strategy Intern, you will gain experience with the following:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer journey phases and critical business metrics.
- Ensure your numbers are airtight by performing individual quality control, checking with relevant data owners, and cross-referencing findings against secondary sources.
- Support and drive interpretation, socialization, and adoption of operational marketing reports.
- Extract actionable insights by analyzing large, complex, multi-dimensional campaign data sets.
- Surface analytical insights: proactively investigate root causes of aberrant data, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support the design and implementation of experimentation necessary to improve channel efficiency, drive growth, and inform marketing investment decisions.
You will also learn about the following:
- Emerging social platforms, social and marketing trends
- Campaign management, Data analytics, and Strategy
- How to think critically about more significant marketing objectives
- The basics of data-backed influencer marketing — from research to outreach tactics and tracking
- Exposure to other cross-functional teams
Qualifications:
- An individual with experience (0-2 years) and interest in Data Analytics and proficiency with all significant data analytics platforms.
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with an eye for prioritization.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Understand Data-Driven Marketing.
- Experience in Excel and Google.
- Motivated and focused while working independently due to the virtual nature of this internship.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidates must be available for an internship that will run from January 2023 – April 2023
- Candidates must be comfortable working remotely
- Candidates must be available for 15-20 hours per week
- Candidates must receive academic credit for the internship
