Position Summary

The Analyst will support Inflight planning and program initiatives as well as Inflight dependability programs working closely with other departments to ensure success. The Analyst will support the general planning and business needs of the Inflight Department by conducting ongoing analysis and data reporting.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct business and financial analysis associated with departmental projects, initiatives, and budgets; including data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Manage and continuously enhance the backend of our Crew Profile system to accurately capture and record dependability data for our 6,000+ Inflight Crewmembers
  • Support the Inflight Base Coordinator team with data entry, auditing, tracking, and trending of Inflight Crewmember dependability as well as issuance of Progressive Guidance and other documents
  • Create charts/data reports upon request and on an ongoing basis to keep track of Inflight Dependability systemwide
  • Oversee and maintain the Inflight SharePoint housing all Inflight Leadership Support sites and create new sites as needed
  • Oversee the entire SPA (Special Assignment) program and supplementary pay program, from approving SPA positions, to assisting with the posting/hiring of SPAs, and payroll for SPA’s and supplementary pay as well as ensuring all SPA rules are being followed
  • Assist with tracking and paying of Leadership Flying
  • Liaise with the Inflight Operational Support team on special projects
  • Work with Crew Services to track and trend Inflight hours, absences, and performance
  • Manage Inflight programs including R&R, Opt Out, CrewFlex, etc. while working with multiple departments to ensure their success
  • Recommend improvements to processes based on comprehensive data analysis of performance metrics
  • Interface and communicate with other departments regularly to gather data relevant to Inflight Service performance
  • Compile monthly departmental dashboards and reports
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of business or analytical experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook with expert abilities in Excel, SharePoint, and PowerApps
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report development
  • Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability to interface well with Crewmembers at all levels of the company
  • Ability to acquire and analyze data through independent research, interviews with subject matter specialists, or other appropriate methods
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship


Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or related field
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel formula building, macro development, and data analysis
  • One year of Inflight Service/Flight Attendant Experience or airline experience
  • Two to three years of business or analytical experience

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation

  • The base pay range for this position is between $58,500.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
