What This Job Involves
You will be accountable for defining, prototyping and implementing complex analytical solutions, being able to transform transactional data into meaningful business insights.
Leading the technical development of complex B.I initiatives, ensuring constant communication and partnership with the Initiative Owner, you will support the account’s vision that:
Data is Governed:
- Analytical solutions should be based upon data that is defined and documented based upon business rules and consistent ways of working.
Data is Accessible:
- Solutions should be accessible to the business users, ensuring the benefits of analytics are realized and a measurable return on investment achieved.
Operational processes are efficient:
- Through the knowledge and expertise of the B.I Specialist the efficiency of the businesses analytics should be maximized, ensuring dashboards are developed using industry-leading techniques and constantly referencing best practices identified through the BI community.
Innovative Analytical Techniques are enabled:
- The use of B.I should always be seeking innovative and new techniques that drive increased efficiency and savings through the effective utilization of data.

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled individual, with proven data visualisation skills, from design thinking through to creative solutions. In addition, you will demonstrate an ability to embrace new techniques and technology, taking a high-level business requirement and working in partnership with external experts to develop solutions from conceptual models, through to actual proof of concepts and finally sustainable business as usual solutions.
Essential to the success of the role will be your demonstrated expertise in the following:
- 5+ years of BI, business, or data analytics experience required, ideally in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions
- Working experience in BI tools (Tableau), query databases (SQL Server), ETL tools (Alteryx)
- Demonstrated successes in data analysis, drawing conclusions and suggesting improvements
- Additional working experience within analytical toolkit (e.g SPSS, SAS, R or Python) desired.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and framework a plus
You will be required to work at pace, using an agile working methodology that enables an iterative approach to project delivery. Business model knowledge and the ability to scope a business problem and quantify numerically would be a great advantage
You’ll have the ability to influence & develop relationships with stakeholders and have the desire to achieve exceptional results. Your communication & negotiation skills ensure that you build rapport quickly and in return can easily understand & interpret your stakeholders needs
