Job Detail:
We are working with a large retail client that is hiring Business Systems Analysts to deliver system solutions, reports, and web-based applications to serve the North America Supply Chain business community. You will utilize SAP/Event Manager, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata as well as a variety of other technologies to pull, report, and send information to various internal and external systems and partners.
What You Will Work On
- Must be able to accurately capture business requirements and work with the business to explore more evolved reporting solutions that promote visualization opportunities and high benefit and adoption rates.
- Comfortable drafting, editing, and maintaining documentation.
- Responsible for applying advanced concepts, theories, principles, and practices in a professional and technical discipline that is analytical, creative, evaluative, and advisory in nature.
- Conducts work requiring substantial independent facilitation, and judgment, and devises new approaches to unique problems.
- Ability to jump in and facilitate projects from intake through deployment and transition management.
- Comfortable navigating through a broad number of cross-functional subject matter experts and stakeholders without a clear roadmap.
- Develops conclusions and makes recommendations on a wide variety of complex issues.
- Help expand the current reporting capabilities and portfolio for the NA Supply Chain Operations organization by working with Global IT organizations and determining the best way to augment departmental solutions.
DELIVERABLES
- Responsible for creating Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) in partnership with the business to capture information and detailed reporting needs. Ask leading questions and secure stakeholder buy-in to ensure solutions provide maximum adoption and benefit cross-functionally. BRDs are utilized as the specifications that the technical teams leverage to create and deliver the reporting solutions.
- Facilitate a broad range of projects from kick-off through deployment and transition management.
- Track projects against established timelines and budgets.
- Work closely with stakeholders, SMEs, SCIPR, and Global IT teams to access information and transform the data into information the business can use more readily and effectively.
What You Bring
- MS Office Suite expertise, particularly in Excel.
- Previous experience writing SQL statements to help troubleshoot data discrepancies between systems and reports.
- Troubleshooting experience; tracking report data back to the source.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; very proficient in producing documentation with version controls (be prepared to provide examples)
- Great track record in project management, change control, and its methodologies.
