Job Location: Bangalore
We are seeking an innovative and tech-savvy analytics manager to plan and oversee our business intelligence and analytics strategies. You will work with a team of digital analysts to extract and interpret raw data to derive valuable insights for our customers, develop and implement analytics solutions, track key performance metrics to improve business performance and present monthly reports to senior management. To excel in this role, you will have a background in analytics and statistics, the ability to foster relationships with staff across departments, and be motivated to continuously achieve positive results.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand business needs and objectives
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
- Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources
- Select, configure and implement analytics solutions
- Lead and develop a team of Data Analysts
- Oversee all analytics operations to correct discrepancies and ensure quality
- Extract reports from multiple sources (e.g. ERP, Data Warehouse )
- Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights
- Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance
- Keep abreast of industry news and trends
- Investigate and report on new market opportunities
- Work with relevant business leaders to develop new growth opportunities to drive growth and establish a strategy to achieve growth
- Develop and lead elements of the implementation of the business’s marketing plan, ensuring consistency w/ corporate mission and values
- Develop tactical actions to ensure achievement of the marketing plan
- Be responsible for developing marketing intelligence data working with external data providers, analysts, and research firms, including, industry market sizing and trends, relevant market information including leading indicators, expected impact of market issues on our business, competitor and customer information.
- Collaborate with the Strategy Director and business partners to review data required to complete the John Crane Strategic Planning Process.
- Work with the Strategy Director to identify areas of support and develop resource allocation plans to support strategic growth initiatives
- Collaborate with relevant business teams, develop forward looking product/ services plans and strategies to drive profitable growth.

The Individual
- Minimum 7+ years of experience working in B2B, oil & gas companies, or multi-industry companies
- Experience in a Tier-1 strategy consulting firm or Corporate analytics is highly desirable
- Solid experience in data analysis and reporting, including knowledge of Excel, SQL, marketing analytics, business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Proven experience as an Analytics Manager, with team leadership experience a plus
- Background in market research and project management
- Demonstrated communication skills and experience in presenting results and recommendations to senior executives
- Strong analytical skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
- Problem-solving aptitude. Demonstrated experience in driving analytical assessment of complex problems and translating analysis into actionable recommendations
- Comfortable working with and influencing a diverse group of people
