Position Summary:
The Analyst II reports into the Manager, Business Intelligence for Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) Supply Chain Analytics team. This position is part of an Analytics team that is flexibly deployed to support strategic supply chain initiatives. The analysts are cross-trained and can contribute to these strategic initiatives through a range of activities, including, but not limited to, data analytics, financial analysis, capital analysis, contract review and analysis, and project management and implementation. The Analyst II will play a critical role in enabling and interpreting data-driven analytics to support corporate, hospital, warehouse, and Ambulatory Surgery Center supply chain decisions and operational improvements. The analyst will work across Supply Chain and collaborate with sourcing, value analysis, procurement, inventory management, and other hospital network stakeholders as required to support ongoing operations and transformational initiatives.
The Analyst II will be tasked with independently collecting, cleansing, visualizing and interpreting supply chain data to inform business intelligence and drive strategic supply chain decisions. Team members will also collaborate with Supply Chain colleagues and be responsible for leading discrete supply chain projects to, for example, achieve cost savings or quality improvements for clinical or non-clinical initiatives (e.g., conducting savings assessments on market research or spend), optimize procurement processes (e.g., Procure to Pay (P2P) processes and gap assessment), or driving distribution and inventory efficiencies (e.g., velocity, value, and consumption analytics). He or she could also be responsible for contributing to analytics capability development, including analytics cross-training, creating analytical tools, and executing other tasks as assigned.
Education:
A relevant bachelor’s degree is required (e.g. computer science, informatics, management of information systems, data science, business, supply chain, engineering). A Master’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be substituted.
Work Experience:
Applicants must have at least two years of work experience or residency/externship experience in Supply Chain or healthcare related field.
OR applicants with a Master’s Degree (MBA, MPH, MHA) must have at least six months of work experience in Supply Chain or healthcare related field
