What you’ll do
We are working on some challenging problems that require bright minds and grit to help us solve. We work in an agile environment. We have taken our analytic products ‘to the cloud’ and are entering the arena of big data and the “internet of things.” It is an exciting journey that will allow you to:
Support Solutions Managers with insights gained from analyzing company data for the purpose of improving existing products and inventing new products. Analyze retail data from varied and desperate sources for trends, predictions, and forecasts. Help our retail customers make sense of the massive amount of data across their POS, traffic counters, review sites, online properties, social media, weather, and other sources. Provide ideas to front-end teams for how to visualize and communicate the data’s findings to our customer. Learn what moves the needle for our customers and explore data that could be helpful. Must be able to do this without much direction. Find, source, and store unique data sets that may be useful for analysis (e.g. go get Google Analytics data and add it to your model).
What you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics
- 2+ years analyzing large data sets with modern tools
- Strong abilities with R and Hadoop
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Experience with GCP (specifically BigQuery, Cloud Sql, Functions, and Composer)
- Demonstrated ability architect the structure very large data sets
- Familiarity with pulling data from (or migrating from) Oracle and MongoDB for analysis
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytic, and critical thinking skills
- Virtual and remote team management ability
- Take pride in effective written and verbal communication
- Sharp critical thinking skills, including systems analysis, problem analysis and resolution, and sound judgment/decision making ability

- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies and Atlassian products like Jira and Confluence
