Party Reference Data Operations team supports compliance and manages and maintains reference data to ensure that our customers, employees, and lines of business are in adherence with firm standards and required regulations.

Proactive Data Management is responsible for ensuring the right reference data is maintained at all points in time using internal and external data sources by cross referencing global market data vendors identifiers such as Bloomberg, Bureau Van Dijk, GLEIF for data enrichment, proactive maintenance, analytics, and prospecting. In addition the team also focusses on Party Ownership Hierarchy management by proactively capturing the Immediate Parent and Ultimate Parent of a Party based on ownership structure and accounting consolidation rules, using data sourced from market vendor (Bureau Van Dijk – BVD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and Maintenance of Ownership Hierarchy for Parties; identifying, mapping and maintenance of Immediate Parent and Ultimate Parent
- Validation, Creation and Maintenance of standalone party and their profitability hierarchy
- Support maintenance parties
- Perform verification of the creation and maintenance of the data attributes
- Identifying and Cross Referencing respective external identifiers for a party such as Legal Entity Identifier (LEI), Bureau Van Dijk (BVD) and internal identifiers such as JPMorgan Identifiers for Instruments and Issuers
- Ensuring the procedures are updated and maintained
- Managing effective relationship with stakeholders
- Support the manager in escalation management, monitoring issues related to data attributes
- MIS reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree and related business experience required
- 5-8 years of experience in financial services or related industries including Reference Data or similar functions
- Attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Change/Automation mindset
- Experience with digital tools such as Alteryx, Collibra would be added advantage
- Ability to work independently and support the function
- End to End Reference Data Remediation experience
- Good Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
- Proficient in MS Office
- Flexible to shifts and should be able to deliver as a part of the team
