Description
Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations, under Consumer and Community Banking Operations, supports the firm by providing operational support for the enforcement, adherence and compliance of KYC/CIP standards. We service Retail, Commercial and Small business banking customers.
Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations consists of the following functions:
- Day 2 Operations
- Due Diligence
- Customer Data Accuracy Program (CDAP)
- Quality Control
- Business Reporting & Analytics
Key Responsibilities
The KYC Ops Business Analyst (502) will be responsible for providing support to the operations teams to sustain control environment especially access administration deliverables within KYC FCOI organization. This includes new hire onboarding, RBAC creation, maintenance, approvals, certification, role approval ownership and other requirements to do with access control management. The role will require working with business partners, supporting operational control activities, identify and provide root cause analysis and prepare internal reports.
- Responsible for completion of Access administration for KYC FCOI functions
- Perform monthly reviews on KYC FCOI owned RBACS
- Create AMG tickets on behalf of KYC FCOI Teams
- Responsible to provide RBAC Certification Support
- Responsible to escalate things at the right time and ensure zero surprises
- Responsible to provide Operational controls support (onboarding/Offboarding)
- Perform monthly access review for EIV profiles owned by KYC FCOI
- Perform Periodic Review on the Role approver responsibilities owned for KYC FCOI
- Partner with leads/business partners to ease the process
- Responsible to identify any gaps in the process and come up with a proper solution/ fix
- Identify scope of improvements in the process and submit MWIs
- Create job aid/guide to provide self-service to the partners
- Completing risk inspections for internal activities as outlined in the scorecard and closing gaps timely
- Perform Application Access review for various functions
- Document procedures and identify requirements for additional controls
- Risk education basis observation
- Performing Process Reviews with respect to Operational Risk
- Actively work with the operations team to resolve exceptions
- Interact with the various teams and stakeholders across sites
- Create and maintain collaborative relationships with our business partners
- Preparing the team for being exam ready
- Implement changes to procedures/processes that improves control to existing processes
Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in PC skills – Excel, Word, Power Point, Adobe Connect, SharePoint, etc.
Knowledge Base/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree with strong Banking Operations knowledge. Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in financial services industry with background in business analysis and risk and control

- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks through effective prioritization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong presentation development and delivery skills
- Strong team player and has the capacity to build good working relationships with cross functional/geographical teams

- Self-starter: demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimum supervision and use independent judgment in decision-making.
- Understand the various processes and terminologies
- Make independent judgements and decisions that are effective and well-grounded based on guidelines, policies, and insights
- Proficiency in controls analysis, Understanding of risk and control concepts.
- Good understanding of EURC/RSAM and knowledge of raise/modify/remove EURC/RSAM requests
- Interact with resolvers to solve the issues arising from EURC/RSAM
- Experience in AML, Compliance, KYC, or Operational Risk preferred
- Candidates should be flexible to work in various shifts according to process requirements
