Global Finance & Business Management (“GF&BM”) India is a combined Line of Business-aligned (LOB-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan’s global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm’s Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm’s capital.
GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main “pillars” of work – Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions. The activities of this team include analyzing line of business relationships, products, consumer behaviors and the impact of the economy and competition on our business. By using the latest innovative software, we employ data visualization techniques to navigate the storyline, generate the right insights, and answer questions quickly.
About the Role
This position will assist in the sourcing, development, management, and maintenance of the analytics data for Consumer and Business Banking.
The role requires a strong techno-functional and analytical background with a focus on joining business, operational and financial metrics from multiple data sources. Interaction between Finance, Information Technology, and other groups are required to ensure the infrastructure fully meets business and ongoing reporting requirements.

- Work closely with the business users/analysts to understand requirements and functional needs
- Ability to translate business requirements into prototype solutions for new/enhancement requests with appropriate standards
- Translate & communicate the specifications to the IT team
- Work closely with end-users/IT during the UAT phase of the project
- Work with IT to migrate to production the developed solutions
- Validate that production results comply with business requirements and expected results
- Work as SME/escalation point for the deployed solutions
- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
- Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests, “what-if” scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries
- Utilize project management best practices to track book of work priorities, communicate updates, and manage projects to successful completion; explain data concepts & challenges clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
Skills / Competencies/ Education Qualifications:
- 5+ years of total experience within MIS, Business Intelligence, and/or Analytics roles
- Must have intermediate-level ability in SQL query writing
- Must have intermediate-level, demonstrated knowledge of Excel including but not limited to Pivot, Vlookup, etc.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of one or more data & business intelligence concepts including ETL, Data Modeling, Reporting Automation, and/or Dashboarding.
- Proven experience delivering timely, high quality, analysis from diverse, complex data sources.
- Attention to detail a must.
- Finance/Accounting environment experience a plus
- Big Data/Tableau experience a plus
- Team player; Excellent communication, project management, and client partnership ability
- Self-starter; demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks independently with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated knowledge of data warehousing concepts and exposure to one or more Business Intelligence toolsets and database platforms: Oracle/SQL Server/Teradata
