    Firmwide Risk Management is overseen and managed on an enterprise-wide basis. The Firm’s risk management governance and oversite framework involves understanding drivers of risks, types of risks, and impacts of risks.

    Within the broader Risk organization, the Risk Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for developing a best-in-class data management function across various critical business initiatives (CCAR, Basel, etc.). Through partnerships with Firm wide Data Management (FDM), the Chief Data Office (CDO), Business, Operations, and Technology stakeholders, the team is responsible for defining and executing on the overall data Risk management strategy across Firmwide Risk Management & Compliance.

    The RISK Data Analytics and Reporting team (DART) is responsible for reporting and analysis of the overall status of issues that impact the Corporate Risk. The team’s work provides transparency and governance for the Data Quality issues’ landscape and the effectiveness of our data quality issue remediation efforts.

    As a Risk CDO Analyst on the Data Analytics and Reporting Team the ideal candidate will contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives across both the Risk CDO organization and Data Quality management.

    This Analyst will support the Data Management Risk and Control agenda across the Risk Stripes. Ownership of the metrics, reporting, data metadata management op model, and training will also reside with this role.

    Success will be based on supporting the development and embedding data policy and standards as well as controls framework across all the risk stripes. In addition, this analyst will support the Risk and Control Lead in ensuring good data management practices are embedded into strategic programs and investments as well as evolving the associated data roles and responsibilities across the Risk org.

    Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Provided quarterly, monthly, and adhoc reporting of data quality issues, tracking, and management of metrics, KPIs, and KRIs.
    • Prepare executive presentations and update on data management within Risk
    • Supporting the Data Quality book of work affecting various Risk Management functions
    • Actively contributing to Data Quality Working Groups and Forums to drive data quality issue resolution, track progress and resolve potential issues or dependencies
    • Support the development and measurement of compliance with data policy and standards.
    • Maintaining strong working relationships with Risk Management & Compliance, Data Quality leads, Firmwide Governance teams, control managers, line of business partners, other CDO groups, DCO’s, Operations and Reporting.
    • Helping define Risk CDO procedures to adhere to Firmwide data management policy and data quality operating model
    • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with key stakeholder to discuss project status, issues, risks, and dependencies
    • Effectively communicate status/progress of work to CDO team, stakeholders, and senior management, and escalate when needed
    • Aligning the team with Firmwide Data Risk Management program to effectively communicate Risk’s impact and concerns
    • Defining and driving operational improvements in the team’s data quality and Data Governance functions

    Experience

    • Finance related Bachelor’s degree required; Business analysis / Data management / Project management experience helpful
    • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills; analyzing data with respect to corresponding business and technology processes; comfortable working with large quantities of data
    • 1-3 years of finance, reporting, Risk, or data quality experience.

    Communication / Influence

    • Excellent ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge, and confidently speak about these processes
    • A developed leadership presence capable of effective messaging of complex systems and processes to junior team members and upper management alike
    • Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreed plans

    Soft Skills

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently in a flexible, fast paced environment
    • Must be detail oriented, highly responsible, and able to work with tight deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; sound and independent judgment

    Technical

    • Overall strong desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications
    • Understanding of concepts and hands-on experience working with relational databases, SQL, and BI tools
    • Experience with tools such as Qlikview, Alteryx, Tableau is a plus
