Team Description
Risk Reporting & Middle Office, a group within Risk CFO Organization, is responsible for Market Risk R eporting to internal Risk Management as well as to Regulators, monitoring controls and the quality of risk data, and accountability for the management and execution of key reporting projects. Examples of the group’s work include the preparation of periodic overviews of Firmwide VaR and Economic Stress Tests results for the Firm’s Board of Directors. Producing daily, weekly & monthly risk/ financial overview reports which are used by the firm’s senior management to monitor Firmwide risk profiles. This role also includes reporting the Firm’s external disclosures, i.e. Pillar3, Quarterly Press Release, and Form 10-Q/10-K filings .
This role is part of the MRR group and lies specifically within the VaR Backtesting (BT) & Modelled Measures Reporting team (MMR team). The team is responsible for performing daily, monthly, and quarterly reports for Internal Modelled Measures of VaR, SVaR, and IRC etc. The team also has development and project management responsibilities for initiatives within MRR. This team liaises with Market Risk Technology, Market Risk Basel Group, Product Controllers, Market Risk Coverage, Basel Measurement & Analytics team, Model Review Group and Market Risk Middle Office. This role is part of the Production Team.
As an Associate (Grade: 601) within Market Risk Reporting team you are expected to manage below responsibilities:
- Produce periodic Market Risk reports for both internal and external stakeholders (Internal Modelled Measures & Backtesting teams)
- Understanding of Market Risk Measures VaR, SVaR, and IRC etc
- Maintain and update reporting templates & Data queries
- Execute changes for reporting where needed (Internal as well as Regulatory asks)
- Challenge Status Quo and look for efficient ways to manage BAU
- Have a strong control mindset in proactively identifying as well as resolving issues.
- Manage and review data sources and other aspects of the MRR reporting infrastructure.
- Identify data quality issues and liaises with the appropriate stakeholders to resolve
- Support the control processes through periodic verification and recertification of the reports and maintain procedure documentation
- Produce metrics to capture issues and improvements of the reporting control environment and processes
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (PC, MRC, QR & MRBG ) as part of BAU and coordinate with Market Risk technology for automation projects
Qualifications
- Graduate in Risk / Finance (or) MBA/BE preferred
- Self-motivated individual with s trong analytical skills
- Individual with strong control mindset
- Skilled in using Microsoft products; strong MS Excel skills and Ability to troubleshoot/develop VBA preferred
- Knowledge in Agile tools is preferred (Alteryx, Tableau, Python etc)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
