Program Description: Data Privacy Risk Classification, Governance & Controls, is a strategic program involving maintenance of privacy classifications for meeting regulatory and policy requirements. Program also includes identification and documentation of the data governance and control requirements for firm wide Data Privacy Risk. Understanding the current processes and controls in place and documenting gaps. Establishing additional business and technology controls, processes, and metrics to evidence compliance. Leveraging policies and standards to define an operating model for review of metrics and remediation of any breach.

Role Description: The Privacy data risk analyst is a global, firm wide role accountable for supporting the design and development of metrics as KPI / KRI, performing data analysis, and gathering reporting requirements across various privacy requirements from a data risk perspective. Support with identification and documentation of the data governance and control requirements for firm wide Data Privacy Risk. Liaising with stakeholders in understanding the current processes and requirements, performing analysis, and driving agreement across LOB/CF stakeholders.

Role Reporting Line: Data Assurance- Data Privacy & Protection Strategy and implementation Lead

  • Privacy Champions and teams in LoBs and Corp Functions
  • FDM / LoB CDO Data Governance product owners e.g. JADE
  • Chief Privacy Office
  • Firm’s Legal Counsel
  • Enterprise Technology: CTC, CTO and GTI
  • Third Party Oversight
  • Product Owners of related Privacy platforms e.g. DPIA, DSAR platforms

Role Qualifications:

  • 3-5years of financial services industry experience in data governance, business controls, data/risk management or technology controls preferred
  • Experience managing, sourcing, or distributing data and the tools used to support those processes (including Collibra, EBX, Information MDM, or other similar Reference Data or Data Management application)
  • Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
  • Experience with metrics design and development, perform hands-on data analysis and managing development of metrics dashboards
  • Hands on experience with agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA or Confluence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to senior leaders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required
  • Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
  • Capability to coordinate across functional teams, IT professionals, and other key stakeholders
  • Strong relationship-building skills, demonstrated consultative approach and proven skill in influencing others
  • Drive communications, stakeholder engagement and resolution of complex issues

Tools/Methodologies

  • Experience in data management tools (Collibra, Atlassian JIRA)
  • Agile/Scrum experience and associated tools (Confluence, Jira, Kanban)
  • Microsoft desktop productivity tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, SharePoint, Teams)
  • Experience in business intelligence tools (Qlikview, Tableau)
