The Reference Data Technology Client team (part of the RFT) provides reference data delivery solutions delivering Client, Account, Document, Instrument and Core Reference across all LOB’s.
We are looking for an individual who will be responsible for the technical delivery of the strategic client reference data platform.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Strong experience in requirements intake, analysis, design, modeling, development, quality assurance and support. Work directly with business users and analysts in comprehending business requirements and modeling appropriate Business Analytics to meet requirements
- Designing & developing reports/dashboards using Tableau, QlikView and BO, etc.
- Ability to write complex relational Oracle queries.
- Assist team in analyzing the report/model performance issues and should provide solutions.
- Contribute to and ensure that the team delivers towards key milestones to support our overall team objectives
- Suggest potential adoption of innovative technologies that enable rapid delivery.
- Generate innovative ideas to deliver business value, improve efficiency and reduce cost.
- Provide best practices are utilized in delivering Reporting/Analytics Solutions.
- Provide overall technical direction and help to ensure quality delivery
- Cultivate an open, honest and transparent environment that encourages proper collaboration between business & Technology teams
- Partner with Business, Tech Peers and Product teams to effectively communicate a business intelligence and analytics vision, including implementation strategy.
- Write and maintain technical specifications that describe program development, data modeling, coding, testing, changes and corrections.
- Strong in Agile Development and experience with SCRUM or similar methodologies
Qualifications
- 5+ year’s proven experience in IT development / project management esp. in the area of data warehouse environment. Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.
- 3+ Experience with Advanced SQL (Teradata/Oracle/Other equivalent) and BI Reporting Tools Tableau is a must.
- Requires 3+ years of Reporting and Report execution experience
- Exposure to Big Data technologies (Hadoop) will be an added advantage
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts is required.
- Exposure to Python or other Machine Learning techniques is a good to have
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills, writing, and presentation skills
Must have skills
- Proficient in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server
- Experience with connecting Tableau to multiple data sources.
- Knowledge of Relational and Multidimensional Databases, and Data Warehouses.
- End to end experience in designing and deploying reports / data visualizations using Tableau.
- Extensive knowledge in various reporting objects like Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Transformations, filters, prompts, Calculated fields, Sets, Groups, Parameters etc., in Tableau.
- Understanding of various data aggregation techniques, analysis, blending, Tableau Charts, Graphs, complex calculations, table calculations, geographic mapping, extract optimization etc.
- Have experience with performance tuning specific to Tableau.
- Good understanding in Data Warehouse, ETL and Data modeling concepts
Nice to have skills
- Knowledge about statistical modeling languages like R/Python and ability to integrate with Tableau.
- Animations in Tableau
- Experience working in Alteryx
