Responsibilities
As a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer on the team, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming will help your team raise their game, meeting your standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements.
We are seeking an experienced Production/DevOps Engineer, who can drive both infrastructure and software transformation across the Firms strategic business and infrastructure platforms. The successful candidate will have recent hands-on experience with public and/or private Cloud platforms, container based architectures, alongside experience with modern software design patterns.
In conjunction with these exciting responsibilities, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the existing code base to provide innovative solutions to infrastructure problems and deliver automated solutions.
Responsibilities
- Infrastructure deployment automation and management of infrastructure provisioning for on-prem and public cloud based platforms
- Supporting the AI Research business and AI Research Technology in navigating across JPMC platforms, technologies and processes, required to operate, deploy and build software within the Firm
- Helping with the on-boarding of new projects, new software tools and utilities
- Help drive AI Research adoption of strategic platforms such as the Firms cloud-based analytics solution
- You will collaborate as part of a global and diverse team, with clients across the globe
- You will communicate with users, developers and other DevOps teams to get projects delivered
Requirements
- Proficiency in one or more technology domains, may be a cross-domain expert able to solve complex and mission critical problems within a business or across the firm
- Working knowledge of infrastructure components. (E.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products , container systems , compute, storage and networks)
- Excellent debugging and trouble shooting skills
- Experience organizing and executing work around a defined process
- Track record of product delivery
- Ability to partner with other technologists across the firm
- Client-centric mentality
- Love of software development and technology architecture
- Hands on developer with experience of building solutions at scale, either on cloud-based technologies or traditional server-based platforms
- Experience with modern cloud technologies and databases
