Ken Garff Automotive Group is looking for a passionate, persistent, humble, and hungry Senior Business Data Analys t that can help transform and mature Ken Garff’s Data Management & Analytics team. Ken Garff truly lives the motto of “We hear you”; this motto applies to all we do within our corporate and regional teams. This individual will be part of the business-facing function of the Data Management & Analytics team. Reporting to the Principal Data & Analytics Architect, this position will develop relationships, learn, and support our operational divisions. This position’s primary responsibility is supporting the centralized call center operations and will be based at that Draper location. They will help launch Domo and transform the reporting landscape of the company. Foster a culture of self-service reporting and support a company that has been truly data-driven for over 20 years!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execution of daily operational tasks to maintain the current manual operational reporting environment until all data is automated into our Snowflake platform
  • Working with system vendors to resolve issues related to data quality, access, and operational analysis.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the organizations business needs and develop process and data mappings to support data-driven decision making
  • Building and developing reports, dashboards, scorecards and/or analyses, working alongside leads, analysts, and architects to deliver priority outcomes in alignment with the strategic roadmap
  • Development & creation of our self-service reporting delivery, security, adoption, training, and management
  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs of the business and assist in aligning the strategic goals and tactical objectives to decisions made with data and analytical products.
  • Developing and configuring data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g. Domo, PowerBI, SSRS, etc.);
  • Provide excellent customer service with timely, accurate, and courteous response to all team members

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience in utilizing API’s for acquiring data for reporting
  • Self-directed and analytical, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Problem solver and an agent for change and innovation
  • Data Visualization experience (Domo, Power BI, SSRS, etc.)
  • Fluency in SQL querying with large, complex datasets (Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server)

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor or advanced degree in Technology, Engineering, or related field will be important in this role, along with a minimum of 4 years progressive experience. A combination of education and related experience would also qualify you for the role.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Working experience in Domo
