Job Location: Houston, TX
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure)
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems
- Work with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releases
- Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actions
- Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patterns
- Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands
- Participate in the 24×7 support coverage as needed –
- Must be able to work shift Sun to Wed 7:00am – 6:00pm Eastern
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in infrastructure or software engineering discipline
- At least 3 years of experience deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting large scale, complex hardware infrastructure and/or software applications
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing, maintaining and troubleshooting scripts in at least one of the following: Windows PowerShell, Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Python, Java, Ansible
- Experience managing enterprise Operating Systems (Windows, Red Hat Linux, AIX, etc.) a plus
- Experience with Data Protection and Backup applications (Veritas NetBackup, IBM TSM, Cohesity, etc.) and infrastructure (tape drives, tape libraries, Veritas NetBackup Appliances, EMC Dell Data Domain, etc.) a plus
- Advanced knowledge of one or more infrastructure components (e.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute, and storage systems)
- Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting components
