The role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of evolving SRE landscape for CIB Prime Finance Technology team, that builds and maintains business critical applications to support our clients across multiple business streams.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including (but not limited to):
- Strong hands on experience in SRE concepts and its implementation through driving a team of strong SRE engineers, preferably in cloud and on-premise both
- Strong hands on experience in instrumentation, metrics identification. Exposure to tools like Prometheus.
- Strong analytical skills to define SLIs pertaining to business needs
- Exposure to APM tools like App Dynamics, Dynatrace etc.
- Exposure to capacity management/optimization tools e.g., BMC TrueSight
- Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions
- Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning
- Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts
- Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives
- Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks
- Understanding of architecture and design across systems
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
- Understanding of software lifecycle such as business analysis, development, maintenance, and software improvement
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Experience:
12+ years of experience in SRE domain with at least 3-5 years in building and implementing SRE practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other highly technical, scientific discipline
- Ability to program (structured and OO) with one or more high level languages, such as Java, Python etc.
