The Unity Product Team aims to bring teams, data and intelligence together onto a unified transaction related enquiry and exception case management platform to deliver exceptional client experience, reduce operational risks, and enable efficient resolution.
An essential aspect of the product vision & strategy relates to how the right data is made available to users and key stakeholders when they need it so that we can optimise the user experience, and to facilitate machine learning and analytics.
Role Description
The successful applicant will be part of a global team delivering key aspects of the product vision & strategy. The individual will report to the Unity Information Manager and will partner closely with product managers, UX, technology & data science leads to translate the users’ & businesses’ informational needs plus the needs of key partners to determine, define and execute a data management strategy that aligns to the program vision. The Unity Data Analyst will be responsible for:
- Develop and execute scalable model to onboard teams and entitlements across all Unity teams together with wider interaction of systems used in the resolution of cases.
- Ongoing management of a data dictionary and taxonomies that incorporate how users’ work is organised, classified, allocated, prioritised, investigated and resolved.
- Support the development of the Logical Data Model (LDM) through researching users’ informational needs across a range of use cases so that the LDM can be tested to ensure alignment with the product vision & strategy.
- Partner closely with technology to devise strategies for accessing data from both legacy & strategic applications in a consistent manner
- Partner with Data Science and Product Managers on the classification and extraction of unstructured data and the provision of data for machine learning
- Define standards and devise and implement effective processes & governance for data management in partnership with the Unity Data Council and Chief Data Office
- Ensure a deep understanding of the user journey and business processes
- Identify and address key risks & assumptions proactively though experimentation & testing
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Prior experience of Product Management ideally in a large corporation, client service, operational or technology environment
- Prior experience and understanding of CIB Operations business areas and trade lifecycle knowledge would be an advantage
- Prior experience or working knowledge of web and database technologies preferred
- Logical and structured approach to planning, analysis and decision-making
- Well organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Attention to technical detail, seek out potential problem area and follow-up with experts
- Experience working in agile teams with UX designers & technologists
- Inquisitive and motivated to solve business problems for users & clients in creative ways
- Confident to question business and technology requirements and solutions respectively
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
