As a Software Engineering Manager on the Payments Team within Connected Commerce, you will lead engineering scrum teams to develop high quality code that exposes Chase’s capabilities to external partners. You will manage the build of solutions that provide delightful partner experiences and help identify opportunities to develop solutions that are broadly applicable while expanding our customer value proposition. Your deep experience in application design, solutions architecting, development and testing will be required to set strategic technical direction and solve complex problems. As a lead, you’ll ensure that partner solutions are elegant, resilient, easy to integrate with and of the highest standards. You will be at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, so your experience understanding product roadmaps and business goals will be critical. You will play an integral role in making sure that partner initiatives are developed in accordance with firm-wide risk & architecture guidelines.

- BS in Computer Science / Engineering or a similar technical degree
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages in particular, the Java/J2EE stack
- Experience with building APIs – RESTful APIs, Web Services, Spring Boot
- Working knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL.
- Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git)
- Strong coding fundamentals – Algorithms & Data Structures
- Angular JS, React and/or JavaScript UI development is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of architecture & application design processes.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
- Passion for automating & excelling at identifying gaps in processes
- Strong bias for action; ability to take ownership and think long-term.
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
