Job Location: Plano, TX

As a senior leader in Software Engineering for the Data Technology Scrum team, you will be responsible for building and driving a core team of java and big data engineers focused on data ingest, data transformation and data consumption technologies. Solutions built by this team ensure the processing and delivery of data to analytical and operational products across all of Chase. The ideal candidate will have prior experience of managing and developing a team of responsive big data, full stack developers. Additionally, the candidate should have a solid foundation in software programming, software patterns, experience across multiple languages and development platforms, and a strong understanding of software publishing models.

This role requires a strong technical background, including:

  • Java and Bigdata technologies – Hadoop/Cloudera/HortonWorks, MapReduce, Spark
  • Big Data querying tools (such as Hive, Beeline),
  • Oracle, Teradata, or any other RDBMS.
  • Object Oriented Programming concepts and patterns
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (e.g. GIT, Jenkins, Maven)
  • Test Driven Development/Behavior Driven Development
  • Shell scripts, Perl, and Job Scheduling tools like Autosys/CTRL-M

Good to have these additional skills:

  • Informatica/Ab Initio
  • Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Alteryx
  • Containerization with Kubernetes/Docker
  • Data Architecture and Modeling experience
  • Hands on Agile expertise with implementation of SAFe
  • In-depth knowledge of Financial Management
  • Experience in Data ETL and Reporting
  • Cloud data implementation including AWS and Snowflake
  • Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Command of architecture, design, and business processes
  • Leadership and talent development experience
