Job Location: New York, NY

As the Technical Business Analyst for the Trade Product Management team within the Self-directed Investing Product, you will serve as a liaison between the subject matter expert and application development. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, functional requirements and working with application developers to deconstruct current-state system logic. Based on this analysis, you will be responsible for grooming technical stories/specifications to support our SDI Online Trading work-stream. As part of this work-stream, you may work on multiple projects at the same time that may be in different phases of the SDLC, and you will work with a cross-functional (Application Development, Quality Assurance, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Architecture/Design Authority, etc.) and cross-LOB team (Digital Technology, Wealth Management Technology, Operations, etc.).


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the build out of Self-Directed components of the product roadmap and feature set with focus on ensuring JP Morgan stays on the leading edge of digital capabilities
  • Analyzes business requirements to understand the business needs and to determine how systems and applications can best functionally fulfill those needs
  • Combines knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how current-state system logic/design to groom technical stories/specifications for the target-state system
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Business, Architecture, Development, UX Design and Testing teams throughout the project life cycle
  • Strategizes with the business for the optimization of system processes; Identify efficiencies and ways to improve BAU design and system flow
  • Identifies, assesses, and documents business requirements and functional/technical specifications; recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs
  • Schedule and lead requirements & sessions with stakeholders; gather testable system requirements and translate them into use cases in user stories & gherkin
  • Analyzes impact of proposed solution across the business and develops use cases to demonstrate the business requirements to the technology teams
  • Understanding of service contracts and APIs and integration into UX environments.

Qualifications:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on Technical Business Systems Analysis
  • Prior experience in financial / banking institutions (preferably in Wealth Management) with strong markets and trading system knowledge a must
  • Option and Margin trading knowledge a plus
  • Demonstrated ability with gathering and analyzing Business and Data Requirements across multiple applications and technologies throughout the full SDLC of projects
  • Self-starter who with a proven track record in analytical thinking, problem solving and communication and experience in dealing with both senior executives and their teams
