Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert and a trusted advisor to customers by sharing knowledge, advising best practices and delivering the best possible solutions to increase adoption of cloud products.
- Craft technical content to help customers understand how to handle specific use cases or use standard methodologies
- Execute the delivery of POCs for customers that have more complex use cases, collaborating with other engineering teams as needed
- Build community knowledge and skills by supporting product deployments, training and mentoring.
- Distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management and Engineering
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing & delivering software solutions that address complex cross-domain problems
- Good experience in Python, Flask and Django Frameworks.
- Experience with agile software delivery processes including practices like automated testing and CI/CD
- Experience developing cloud native applications on platforms like CloudFoundry, Kubernetes and AWS
- Consultative approach – the ability to analyze and resolve complex problems in collaboration with customers and colleagues
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision
HIGHLY DESIRABLE:
- Passion to serve the customer, which has played out in some customer-facing role like consulting or support, ideally solutions engineering.
- Good knowledge on Java , Java Script and go language.
- Good knowledge of Chaos Engineering
- Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
- Proficiency in building/managing large scale infrastructure deployments (E.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage and networks) is a plus.
- Experience implementing effective operational patterns like SLOs, metrics, health checks, error budgets, distributed tracing, etc., using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, ELK, Cloudwatch, Stackdriver, etc. is a strong plus
