DESCRIPTION POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Analyst will support the IT department with analytical reports, administration, and training. This position will also have the responsibility of our data librarian and will demonstrate highly effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to maximize the benefit of information technology investments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Works to maintain operational up-time and maximize the capabilities of technology to streamline operations.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing software systems and develops strategies for improving or further leveraging systems.
  • Create and maintain IT Documentation.
  • Supports on-boarding of new hires by preparing necessary access, as well as providing initial IT usage and process training.
  • Supports employees as first-level contact with day-to-day software questions and needs.
  • Works directly with all levels of management and key stakeholders and develops end-user friendly reporting solutions for applications.
  • Assists in the planning, design, development and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of applications.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Conducts end-user training and creates instructions manuals as necessary.
  • Monitor ticketing system, provide detailed status, and case notes for all issues handled directly.
  • Processes data to ensure its streamlined and organized manner.
  • Assists in special IT initiatives and projects as requested.
  • Participate in IT department agile sprints and has the ability to work in a scrum environment.
  • Participates in organizational activities that may include meetings, training and committees, and special projects.
  • Establish a work environment that creates positive communication and support across all levels of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with quality assurance, OSHA, HIPAA/HITECH, infection control, safety and other policies set forth.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in computer systems with specialization in reporting & dashboard creation highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of eVero, Central Reach, Precision Care, Salesforce,

Microsoft, Claims preferred.

  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
  • Must have a valid New York State Driver’s License travel is required.
  • This position does not have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is not required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) or

OMH (Office of Mental Health) and most recently in coordination with the regulations of the NYS Justice Center.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HAZARDS

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Minimal risk of chemicals used in cleaning. Job related tasks do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue and tasks are not a condition of employment. May have exposure to unpredictable individuals and situations when working at
Kelberman Center sites. OSHA Exposure Category III.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Certain deadlines and unanticipated developments may require work during evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to quickly address any emergent issues without losing focus on the task at hand.
  • The employee must have full sight and hearing with fluency in the

English language. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, scanner, computer printer, etc.
  • Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds at a time.
  • Ability to handle stressful and unpredictable situations in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $64,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year
