Sr. Analyst, Advanced Analytics and Data Science role will
- Help Kennametal further boost their Advanced Analytical capabilities.
- Help business make smarter decisions and solve critical business problems by making a creative use of vast available data.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and apply the latest data science and advanced analytics to provide actionable insights to our business users.
- Generate insights and articulate recommendations to business users to present analytical content concisely and effectively.
- Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
- Responsible for solving real work business problems with ML, DL and other advanced analytical techniques.
- Will support our product, sales, finance, marketing, leadership teams with insights gained from analyzing company data.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Identify high ROI use cases for Data Analytics and Machine Learning in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Understand Kennametal business process and identify necessary datasets needed to develop predictive models.
- Be able to handle end-to-end steps related to ML models from data preparation, feature engineering, model building, model deployment and on-going monitoring of model accuracy/data drift.
- Apply and develop appropriate advanced statistical, machine learning, and/or deep learning models and algorithms on both structured and unstructured data.
- Develop analytics to drive insights from a wide variety of data sources to help us achieve a competitive advantage
- Apply and integrate statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate complex high-volume data from a variety of sources
- Design and conduct controlled experiments to validate and improve accuracy of models
- Provide feedback to existing data collection/database management procedures to improve data quality
- Promote and educate people without data science background on its principles and applications
- Stay up to date with latest Machine Learning techniques, use cases and platforms.
- Develop production-ready code for automating periodic runs of model and data refresh pipelines.
Required Skills: –
- 5-8 years of experience in Machine Learning and Data Analytics preferably in the B2B space
- Strong knowledge and Hand-On experience with using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
- Experience with end-to-end development and deployment of ML algorithms
- Familiarity with public cloud offering like Azure/AWS; certified Azure Data Scientist preferred
- Extensive experience with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL
- Experience with ERP systems like SAP a plus.
- Experience working with colleagues/customers located in different countries.
- Team player and a good communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Data Science platforms such as Azure ML/Dataiku / Data Robot/ H2O AI a plus
- Hands on experience with any of the visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc. is a plus
- Excellent Knowledge of ETL/ELT (Data extraction, data transformation and data load processes) on MSBI platform
