Analyst/Associate, Institutional Capital – Healthcare Real Estate Group

The Healthcare Real Estate Group (“HCG”) is a specialized subsector of ICG focused on healthcare clients. Through a team of 20+ bankers, HCG is a leading capital provider to the rapidly growing medical office, seniors housing and skilled nursing industries. HCG bankers serve as the primary point of contact with clients and work to coordinate with internal partners to provide creative solutions including providing balance sheet loans, mezzanine financing, permanent debt solutions, private placements, public debt and public equity.
JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE)
The Seattle office of KeyBank’s HCG is seeking to hire an Analyst or Associate to provide analytical support for the team in portfolio management and new business origination efforts. An Analyst/Associate is a vital member of deal team working with Senior Bankers and Relationship Managers to identify new relationship opportunities, cultivate existing relationships, execute new transactions, and monitor portfolio performance. Analysts/Associates review client’s and prospect’s capital structures to recommend ideal debt capital structures, and analyze financial statements, market data, appraisal reports, and other Borrower and third party reports.. The Analyst/Associate has high visibility across HCG with analytical conclusions often presented in working documents, presentations, and various internal forums for senior management. The Analyst/Associate performs critical tasks essential to the success of the team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Partner with teammates in support of business unit goals and objectives
- Begin building skills in analyzing, structuring, and underwriting debt transactions with an understood initial learning curve for business expertise and technical analysis
- Participate actively in client planning and pitching sessions
- Research and analyze data, markets, client background, and financial statements
- Prepare, write, and present analytical information and findings

Partner with Managing Directors, Senior Bankers, and Relationship Managers, responsible for
- performing industry research,
- drafting information memoranda based on independent judgment, and
- preparing pitch, management presentations and other written materials using analytical skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree
- General understanding of financial statements
- Credit and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
