RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Data Architect.

Responsibilities:

  • The Data Architect is responsible for the overall design and implementation of data solutions
  • Performs reviews, analysis, design, and development of solutions
  • Analyze data to develop in-depth knowledge of relationships between relevant subject areas and end-to-end data flows/lineage
  • Contribute to and adapt data strategy roadmaps that address technology modernization needs, practical operational challenges, and prioritized business requirements
  • Design data solutions to meet requirements across multiple teams in alignment with department and organizational best practices
  • Leverage in-house data platforms as needed, and recommend and build new data platforms and data applications as required to address business requirements
  • Assist in the definition, documentation, and development of mapping and business rules for the movement of data from disparate data sources and into the various components and subject areas of the data governance framework
  • As a Data Architect, you will define, design, and implement data governance platform strategies for operational, privacy, security, and other related control areas
  • Define and enhance architecture standards and review process; Enforce adherence to best practices and improve data lifecycle effectiveness and efficiency
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality data platform
  • Lead the analysis of the current data environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement
  • Utilize root cause analysis to identify trends and assess impact of data quality issues
  • Data modeling and data classification at the enterprise level
  • Catalog existing data sources, enabling access to resident and external data sources
  • The Data Architect will create and maintain data-related documentation (like data architecture, data models, and data flows)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in building and managing enterprise-level data integration, enterprise data warehouses, and data transformation platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in all aspects of data architecture, data modeling, database design, development, and architectural governance at the enterprise level
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft and/or SAP BI Technologies
  • 3+ years of experience with Azure data platforms
  • Demonstrated experience working in all phases of full life cycle data analytics development: Requirements, Architecture, Design, Testing, and deployment
  • Experience in SQL, No SQL, and Python programming
  • Experience with data strategy, data governance, and data catalogs is a plus
  • Exposure to cloud environments (especially Azure) and Hybrid Workloads
  • Exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and SAP Business Objects
