Job Location: Lake Mary, FL
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Orlando, FL that is seeking a Systems Analyst – Power BI.
The Systems Analyst (Business Intelligence) will:
- Create and support complex SQL queries and perform in depth analysis
- Create and maintain complex ETL processes using SSIS packages and SQL Agent Jobs
- Create streamlined tables and views containing indexes
- Reviews and maintains Stored Procedures and SQL functions
- Create and maintain a robust data dictionary for each database
- Develop effective reporting methods and participates in efforts to continually improve data collection and analysis
- Analyze discrepancies in existing reports, makes recommendations and completes updates
- Create, maintain, and review documentation of reports and solutions
- Consistently meet assigned project deadlines and goals
- Perform work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Collaborate with business units, vendors, and technical staff to achieve business results
- Participate in Agile methodologies of Scrum, Stand ups and Sprints
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Statistics, Data Science, or related field is required
- Five plus years of related experience in programming, business analytics projects, application implementation or database management
- Strong attention to detail and excellent technical and communication skills are mandatory
- Financial service industry experience a plus
In addition, successful candidates will have:
- Strong analytical skills, provides out-of-the-box solutions for problems or difficulties
- Ability to operate with an analytical, data-driven mindset to derive actionable insights from data
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- In-depth knowledge of databases and other research tools used to gather and interpret member/market data
- Extensive SQL programming experience
- Data visualization experience preferred, using programs such as Power BI and/or SSRS
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with both technical and non-technical staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to make advanced analytics concepts accessible to non-technical team members
