Kite is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and resourceful Data Analyst to support the Global Quality Organization operating out of our headquarters in Santa Monica, CA. Kite Quality is responsible for adhering to regulatory requirements while improving existing processes, reducing waste, and lowering costs to safely improve patient access to our life-saving therapies.
In this role you will collect, measure, visualize and interpret data across multiple functions that include Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Process Development with the intent of turning data into information, information into insights and insights into informed business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate integrated Data Science-based approach to perform data specific mining and reporting on structured, semi-structured and unstructured datasets, employ statistical methods and provide support to derive actionable insights .
- Able to use business presentations, smart visualization tools and contextual story-telling to translate findings back to business users with a clear impact.
- May prepare program-level and user-level documentation.
- Analyze data involving new creative approaches
- Apply data governance policies for data management and data integrity.
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple work activities to meet project deadlines.
- Identify and document business processes.
- Support regulated functions of the department, understand, and perform validation efforts in accordance with established procedures.
- Work with process and product data and builds ad-hoc solutions for different use-cases.
- Use SQL to develop queries for data stored across multiple sources
- Assist in creating database objects (views, tables) using Python scripts and orchestration tools such as airflow and AWS glue.
- Works with business and IT partners to develop ML applications to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.
- Under the direction of manager, identify data needs and recommend data solutions
- Provides troubleshooting and support for specific data science applications and solutions
- Derive insights by using real world evidence data of manufacturing and testing processes.
- Contributes to data science applications using real world evidence data
- Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
- Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of data science/analytics experience OR
- Associate’s Degree and 4+ years of data science/analytics experience OR
- High School Degree and 5+ years of data science/analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Statistics/Biostatistics, or Mathematics preferred
- Experience in machine learning applications a plus
- Experience in use of SQL to develop queries for data stored across multiple tables and databases
- Experience in Python; experience in R and other languages a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Frequent use and application of statistical methods, principles, theories, machine learning concepts and modern techniques for building data science applications to derive insights from data a plus.
- Initiative to develop understanding of gene & cell therapy, its associated manufacturing process coupled with expanding technical knowledge of tools supporting data analytics
- Experience working within an AWS environment preferred
