Description
Software Engineer will report to the Application Support Team Lead of the KTC and will be responsible for creating valuable solutions for KBS and the customers. Software Engineer shall be responsible for providing an end to end implementation of technology solutions to solve customer’s requests as well as serve business needs and priorities. Software Engineer will be expected to continually learn about new applications, features and APIs which can be used for new solutions. Software Engineer shall also identify any system deficiencies and leverage modern technologies to offer innovative and efficient solutions. Software Engineer will be expected to treat customer needs as a shared responsibility, rather than individual requests and needs. The capabilities developed shall be maintained to remain relevant and current.
What You Will Do In Your Role
- Participate in the development of ETL, data models, metrics, scorecards, and dashboards by gathering various HR data subjects and transforming it into stories/insights that drive recommendations and decision-making.
- Develop Modillion workflows to extract data in different formats, transform it based on business requirements and build analytics read data model.
- Develop dashboards and insights using Tableau
- Design and develop security model within the BI platform to secure HR data appropriately.
- User interface and mobile design considerations and recommendations
- Constantly look for process improved opportunities and document current processes for knowledge share.
- Follow data validation processes to ensure accuracy of reporting data
- Conduct and participate in unit, integration, regression and acceptance testing, and related activities.
- Manage/participate as the HR data engineer on concurrent projects with varying deliverables, priorities, and timeframes.
- Implement best practices for modelling and semantic layer for global multilingual platform
- Gather reporting/analytics requirements across various HR functional areas like core HR, payroll, recruiting; develop functional and technical specs.
- Provide input and design the appropriate data schemas for optimum and performant HCM reporting, and analytics needs.
- Create a wireframe diagram which meets the existing and future needs.
Interactive report element design (filters, prompts, drilldowns, alerts, translatable elements)
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or other technically relevant degree.
- 1+ years of experience working in Matillion.
- 3+ years of overall data modeling /ETL experience
- 2+ years of Tableau development
- 4+ years of experience in industry-standard Business Intelligence and Analytics Platform (e.g., Birst, Qlik, Cognos, OBI or similar tools).
- Experience in working with APIs ingestion, Data Lake, S3 and AWS Redshift
- Functional and technical requirements gathering for Reporting and Analytics
- Expert in SQL, report development, and transactional table relationships
- Ability to understand semantic design and its alignment to the database
- Strong written and Oral communication is a must
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership.
- Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and success working with a global project team
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities.
What Will Put You Ahead
- BI/Analytics experience with HCM application like SAP HR and Payroll, Ceridian, Taleo
- BI/Analytics experience with Infor Cloud suite HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, or Workday
- Experience working on medium to large-scale complex BI technology projects.
Experience with global multilingual BI projects
