Position Summary
Support the financial management of Kroger Health entities as assigned. Responsible for the day-to-day management of financial reporting, including the gathering, summarizing, and analyzing of the data to meet business needs. Communicate and report financial results to management teams. Identify any data related issues/recommendations to team, so that team can quickly address. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Update and publish weekly, period, and quarterly financial summaries for the department
- Refresh existing reports for evolving business needs to ensure adherence to financial commitments
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of pharmacy and healthcare trends to facilitate discussion and analysis
- Evaluate existing processes and establish new ways of using data to cause evolution of the business
- Partner in efforts to review, update or establish financial policies and procedures; work with functional leaders as appropriate to implement and monitor
- Support financial analysis needs of Kroger Health Operations, Procurement, Marketing, Business Development, Regulatory/Compliance, Clinical, as well as the Legal department
- Utilize data from corporate/divisional systems
- Perform selected/required key analysis
- Validate costs/savings in pilots and initiative roll outs

Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, healthcare or comparable discipline
- Any experience in financial, data, or statistical analysis and reporting
- Detail-oriented and data driven
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Ability to think critically and challenge assumptions when necessary
- Ability to present complex information to varying audiences throughout the organization
- Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
- Highly organized and proficient at multi-tasking
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to effectively use organization personnel to achieve objectives
Desired Previous Experience/Education
- Master’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Any healthcare industry experience with a financial focus
- Any experience in accounting/finance with a public company, accounting firm, division or corporate finance/accounting or audit experience
- Any experience with database query programs such as SAP/Business Objects
